Shadow Profile for Ceiling
A shadow gap profile is an aluminium trim that replaces a ceiling cornice or coving: a clean, even shadow line runs between the wall and the ceiling. The ceiling visually "floats" off the walls, and the junction looks neat even where walls are not perfectly straight. ARTPROFILE makes its shadow gap profiles in-house — from the classic AST models to the RST dividing profiles and LED strip profiles.
Where shadow gap profiles are used
- plasterboard ceilings in flats, houses, offices and shops;
- ceiling-to-wall junctions without a cornice or coving;
- dividing a ceiling into zones or levels — RST dividing profiles;
- perimeter ceiling lighting — profiles with an LED strip channel.
How to choose
With or without LED. Models without LED (for example AST-5 and AST-8) create the shadow line only. LED strip profiles (RST-22, LKhV-10) have a channel for the strip and a diffuser, so light runs as a soft line along the gap.
Wall junction or divider. A standard profile goes along the walls; an RST dividing profile goes across the ceiling to split it into zones or to mark a change of level.
Finish. Profiles are supplied uncoated, primed for painting together with the ceiling, or painted in any RAL colour.

Why do I need a diffuser?
It covers the LED strip, removes visible light dots and protects the diodes from dust. LED profiles need one.
